My deepest gratitude to Lulu Lolo for inviting me to the program at the Mulberry Street Library on Saturday and for introducing me to the Vito Marcantonio Forum. I still remember when my mother confided in me that she was voting for Vito Marcantonio. On my way to the library, I stopped in Dean and DeLuca felt very alienated as I looked at the prices on items I could not afford. Coming to this event was like finding an oasis in the desert. I felt connected to a part of myself I was looking for and to a very welcoming group of people.
